State and Federal insurance plans may have acupuncture riders included, and acupuncture is typically covered.
Many large companies have the option to purchase an acupuncture rider. Contact your company’s HR department or contact your insurance company directly.
Acupuncture is acceptable for most health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), and is a tax-deductible medical expense.
Please be advised that any co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles payments must be paid at the time of service.
If deductibles have not been met or insurance coverage is not yet known at the time of service you are required to make a payment toward the deductible at each visit until our office receives the explanation of benefits from your insurance carrier. At that time, we will be able to inform you of the remaining deductible balance on your account.
Being In-Network with your insurance carrier does not mean you don’t have any deductible to be met.
